Located in the Tweed Shire,7 minutes from the village of Uki, 20 minutes from Murwillumbah ,25 minutes from Mullumbimby and 45 from Byron Bay. Only minutes away from Unicorn Falls and the trailhead for National Park walking tracks.
Set at the base of Mt Jerusalem National Park, Whiskey Creek is a regenerating property with a history rooted in the Big Scrub era. Mainly forest with open grassy areas to camp.A bird watchers paradise.
Originally settled in the 1890s by cedar cutters and early dairy/banana farmers, regeneration of rainforest area continues .
The Experience
This is not a traditional campground.
- Small, private sites only
- Maximum 2–4 people per site, or family group - max 6
- Currently 2 sites available (more coming as restoration continues)
- Located at the front of the property while access to creek areas are being repaired
Please note:
- Sites are simple and not overly spacious
- Some proximity to the dam
- Clean "portaloo" facilities.
- No Eftpos etc available.

Access to more of the property, including creek areas, will open as restoration progresses. Walks to waterfall swimming hole possible at certain times of year!

Vehicle Access
- Not suitable for caravans at this stage
- Small 4WD camper trailers: OK
- Medium-sized RVs: OK (season dependent, especially spring)
Fire Safety
- Fires permitted in designated areas only
- No fires during high wind or fire risk conditions
- Firewood available periodically
Bookings & Cancellations
- Please visit Hipcamp for bookings.
- Standard cancellation: 7 days notice
- Peak periods: 14 days notice
- Bookings may be cancelled by us if conditions are unsafe, including: Flooding, Fire risk, Severe weather
House Rules
- No large groups
- Respect the land and surrounding environment
- Pets allowed on leash at all times
- No 4 wheel driving .
- This is a quiet, low-impact stay
- Be at one with the two.
