Terms of Stay
By booking a stay at Whiskey Creek, Uki, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before your arrival. By completing your booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Stay.
1. π₯ Fire Safety
- Guests must familiarise themselves with fire safety procedures and locate fire safety equipment upon arrival.
- Fire pits are available subject to seasonal fire restrictions. Always check current fire danger ratings before lighting a fire.
- Management reserves the right to cancel bookings in the event of dangerous weather conditions, including high winds, fire risk, flooding, or other safety concerns. A full refund will be provided in such cases.
2. β οΈ Natural Hazards & Risk Warning
Guests acknowledge that Whiskey Creek is a rural bush property with inherent natural hazards including but not limited to uneven terrain, slippery surfaces, falling branches, wildlife, insects, snakes, flooding, fire danger, waterways, changing weather conditions, and limited lighting and communications.
Guests voluntarily enter and use the property entirely at their own risk.
3. π΅ Limited Services & Emergency Access
Guests acknowledge that the property is off-grid and located in a rural area where mobile reception, medical access, and emergency response times may be limited. Guests should plan accordingly and carry appropriate supplies and communication devices.
4. π» Liability Waiver
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Whiskey Creek, its owners, employees, and representatives are not liable for any injury, illness, death, loss, damage, theft, accident, delay, or inconvenience suffered by guests during their stay, including as a result of natural conditions, weather events, wildlife, fire, water hazards, vehicle access, or the actions of other guests.
Guests voluntarily enter and use the property entirely at their own risk.
5. π Vehicle Access & Damage
Guests access the property and surrounding roads at their own risk. Whiskey Creek accepts no responsibility for vehicle damage, recovery costs, towing expenses, or vehicles becoming bogged or inaccessible due to weather or terrain conditions. Guests should ensure their vehicle is suitable for rural road conditions before arrival.
6. π Waterways & Creek Use
Any use of creeks, waterways, or natural water areas is entirely at the guest's own risk. Conditions may change without warning, including water depth, current, submerged objects, slippery surfaces, and contamination. Guests must exercise caution at all times near waterways.
Absolutely no washing, use of detergents, soaps, or chemicals in or near waterways. Detergents can severely damage the ecosystem and kill aquatic life.
7. πΆ Child Supervision
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Parents and guardians accept full responsibility for minors on the property, including near waterways, fire pits, and uneven terrain.
8. πΏ Environmental & Wildlife Protection
The property is spray-free and pesticide-free to help protect local wildlife and ecosystems. The land is home to glow worms, fireflies, native fish, shrimp, yabbies, platypus, freshwater mussels, blue claw species, and other protected fauna.
- Native flora and fauna are protected β no collecting, disturbing, or removing wildlife or plants from the property.
- Preserve the natural environment and leave no trace.
- Respect the waterways, wildlife, and surrounding bushland during your stay.
9. π Booking Conditions
- Maximum 1 family per site.
- 2 adults + children per booking.
- A refundable $100 security bond is required for all bookings.
- Cancellation policy: Cancellations made 7 or more days prior to arrival will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days of arrival may forfeit the booking amount (policy to be confirmed).
- Whiskey Creek reserves the right to refuse entry or cancel bookings at its discretion where guest behaviour, safety concerns, fire conditions, weather events, or breaches of these Terms are reasonably anticipated. A full refund will be issued where cancellation is initiated by management.
10. π« Property Rules.
- Pets are not permitted on the property unless prior written approval has been obtained.
- Drones may not be operated without prior written permission from management.
- Quiet hours apply from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Loud music, amplified sound, and excessive noise are not permitted at any time.
- Fires are subject to seasonal restrictions. Always check current fire danger ratings.
11. π± Property Ethos
Whiskey Creek is a place of quiet, nature, and respect. We ask all guests to:
- Leave no trace β pack out everything you bring in.
- Respect the waterways, wildlife, and surrounding bushland.
- Be considerate of the natural environment and other guests.
12. βοΈ Legal Notice
These Terms of Stay are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
We strongly recommend all guests obtain appropriate travel and personal accident insurance prior to their stay. Whiskey Creek strongly recommends guests seek independent legal and insurance advice if required.
